Robert, known professionally as Dafydd Burne-Jones, died on 31st January 2016. He is survived by his partner Ailsa, his three children, Caitlin, Tasha and Barnaby, and his sister and brother.

Born in Glasgow, he spent most of his working life at Scottish Opera, where he was Staff Director. Prior to that, he studied at Glasgow University and worked at the Citizens Theatre and other companies including Glyndebourne, Opera North and the Old Vic, as well as running his own music theatre company.

Robert loved life. He was a consummate storyteller, full of wit, intelligence and good humour. His was a life well lived, one that touched many others, and he leaves a significant legacy of achievement.
